Im-Ex Global
Over the course of Im-Ex Global's history (Since 2005) the company image has greatly evolved. A major redesign of the logo (found here) and the general look of the company brought in new life with vivid colors and more visual appeal.
The website was designed to portray a cutting edge business in a global market while maintaining a professional appearance. Since the companies services are so broad, the challenges of designing lay in directing customers to areas that help them understand the purpose and goal of the business.
Holly Kicks Fitness
Holly Kicks Fitness was designed and built for a fitness coach and her specific needs and specialties.
Sure Focus Digital Photography
The Sure Focus site was designed to showcase the work of the photographer. The contrast of the black background makes the photos grab your attention and the the surrounding title and navigation are positioned and colored to compliment the center photos. An all around simplistic design.
e-Mersion Web Store
e-Mersion is an industry award winning e-learning creator and has produced innovative e-learning solutions for such organizations as Kaiser Permanente, Intel, Clark College, Freightliner, and more.
In 2008 e-Mersion started creating custom templates for well known e-learning production software. In 2009, in collaboration with e-Mersion designers, I created a web store based around their original design enabling them to sell their custom downloadable players and templates to customers around the world.
Crown Casters & Handrtucks
Crown has been working with customers in their local region for over 30 years providing a wide variety of casters, handtrucks and other material handling equipment.
In the mid 90's they reached out to a wider customer base by creating a very basic online presence. In 2008, I provided them a much needed online face lift and optimized for performance and search-ability.
Bruce Nieforth Properties
Bruce Nieforth has a unique background as a seasoned custom builder / general contractor and after more than 30 years in the industry, changed from creating, to selling. He became an agent to help people find just what they were looking for from a truly qualified point of view that could help educate the potential agent.
The design of this web site was made to capture this uniquness. Bruce's logo is a symbol of that as it is one of his own creations in actual life. The site was created with a backside admin and database that would allow him to input his own Real Estate listings or make changes as he sees fit.
The Im-Ex Marketplace
The Im-Ex Marketplace was made to reflect the design of it's parent company, Im-Ex Global. The idea behind the web store is to allow customers to "pre-order" product by essentially placing items in a cue. When this cue reaches a certain amount (the Minimum Order Quantity) for a specific item, that item is then imported by Im-Ex Global and distributed to the individual customers, allowing for vast discount on all products. While the concept remains a solid idea, the Marketplace is not yet a 100% functioning system. http://www.im-ex.com/marketplace/
Pure Studios
Pure Studios is the face of Tyler Nieforth and the services that I provide. Although it's not my full time business, it is an outlet that I am extremely passionate about and work with frequently.
This site and business is based around my current skill set and is backed by a network of people that work in the same field. As such, this site was designed to reflect all the services that I have provided in the past and will continue to do in the future.
The Nieforth Network
The Nieforth Network is a network of sites that I and other family members have created. Included are family blogs, e-mail services, stored media access, and home security feeds.
This portal page gives easy access from a computer at home or away, as well as a mobile device, to network services or sites.
Software Association of Oregon Web Store
This project was done in 2007-2008 in collaboration with the Software Association of Oregon (SAO). The webstore was designed to reflect the look of their original website and offer SAO members branded products, tickets to events, and other discounted merchandise.
Along with the creation of this site, I developed a custom lead generation program that would provide an opportunity for companies to advertise their product(s) or service(s) through the SAO web store. During the account creation process, SAO members would be given an opportunity to select discounts to various products and services offered by SAO business partners. With the SAO member’s permission, their contact information would be routed to the participating company they select.
Together with the lead generation program I developed a sponsorship program for the non-profit SAO organization that entitled those that signed up to banner ad space on the SAO store home page, placement in the SAO store lead generation program, sponsorship recognition at SAO events, and the ability to sponsor custom branded gift cards.
Due to several different factors, including a change in structure at the organization, The SAO Store project was terminated. The site remains active for reference only. Please note: Orders made on the webstore will not be honored.
Estate Liquidators
Estate Liquidators offers new or used unique items at bargain prices. Their selection includes such things as Furniture, Antiques, Electronics, and gifts of all sorts.
This is a simple informational website created in an effort to expand exposure to a larger customer base. The "map" page includes an embedded Google map to show the location of the business and sized to fit the content area of the page.

Another family blog built on the Wordpress foundation and customized to meet the desired purpose.
GreenerVolts
GreenerVolts, being a company that provided newer energy efficient technology needed to have a logo that showed both sides of the spectrum.
This was accomplished by sever different fonts and a concept of a plant that plugs into an outlet, giving the impression of a renewable energy company.
Im-Ex Global
"Im-Ex" stands for Import-Export, which is the main function of the company. The original logo (before the re-design) was a flatter looking globe with an airplane circling it.
In the current version, a rounder, more glossy globe with deep colors was used with a comet circling instead of a plane. On the tail of the comet are the words IMPORT EXPORT. You'll also notice that the path travels over the Asian continent to locations on the west coast, symbolizing our main trading route, although it's not expected that many people will catch the symbolism or detail.
Holly Kicks
The Holly Kicks Fitness logo was created as a silhouette of an actual picture of Holly the fitness coach. Along with the some modifications, conversion to vector, and the right font choice, it turned out to be exactly what the the client was looking for.
Sure Focus DP
Sure Focus DP often does photography for weddings and more formal occasions. The logo was made to be a simple yet elegant design to compliment the work of the photographer.
Im-Ex Marketplace
Designed after the Im-Ex Global logo, this was made to see clearly where the marketplace originates.
Pure Studios
This logo visually combines the two services provided by Pure Studios; Tech (the computer screen) and Design (the color swatches on the screen). Bright and vibrant colors were used to ensure a clean and engaging appearance.
The Nieforth Network
Throughout the Nieforth Network I wanted a common but simple identifier that could be placed indiscreetly. This "N" block was just that and works perfectly to identify the many related sites.
Island Living
This client wanted a logo design that followed their existing color scheme and resembled their already printed literature. Using one of their main advertisements I was able to put together a pleasing picture logo that fit nicely with their particular style.
Hard Eight
Hard Eight is a clothing provider directing their products to DJ's and music fans. In a collaborated effort with a partner we worked to provide Hard Eight with some ideas of accessories they could sell along with their successful clothing line. The images above are product concepts of the ideas that we presented.
Aigo
After sponsoring a major event, Aigo mentioned that they were looking for a key accessory to provide at their next sponsored event. The above image was the outcome.
Belkin has since patented this product and is providing it here in the U.S.
Lion
This project was done for a client that was taking the Lion brand to market. He wanted concept images made for his logo and product packaging. The above pictures were what I came up with for both a boxed variety and blister packaging.
Pandemic Prevention Kits
In 2009 with the H1N1 Virus (a.k.a. Swine Flu) scare we worked closely with several local and world health organizations to put together a complete kit with everything need to fight the spread of bacteria. The above pictures is a concept of a web store or site for the purpose of distributing the product. All of the items in the picture above are also concepts as the products were still being produced at the time.
Portable Media Device Line
At a time when MP4 video players were just begging to emerge in U.S. markets, Im-Ex Global was introducing a new line of portable media devices, capable of both audio and video playback as well as recording. These devices were small and inexpensive in comparison to other devices on the market. The problem however was that people were skeptical and did not understand the concept of digital media formats yet.
These ads were created to help overcome these roadblocks by providing ample information as well to portray them being used in everyday life.
Pandemic Prevention Kits
After completing many concept images, brochures and various product specification sheets, these Pandemic Prevention Kits were ready to be unveiled to the masses. The above image was a web ad that was placed on many different heavy traffic websites.
Creep - Short Film
This project was done in 2009 and consisted of taking shots from the film and creating film posters, printed DVD's and designing cases for them.
Creep was filmed by director Carl Wagoner and won the 2009 Stiffy award for "Most Loveable Stalker".

Business Cards: Im-Ex Global
Along with the design of the company, the design for our business cards has changed many times. Above is the latest design for a double sided (one side English, one side Chinese) card. The Chinese side is especially useful for traveling and conducting business in Asia.
Product Flyers
Below is four examples of product flyers or brochures designed for various products and targeted at different groups of clientele. The Pandemic Prevention kit brochure contains images made as concepts while samples were being produced to bring the product to market.
